Why record and share family stories?
Few things bring tears as quickly as the sound of a loved one’s voice. Our sense of hearing is hardwired for recognition and emotional response!
When a loved one has passed on, the most reported sense of loss is,
“I can’t believe I’ll never hear their voice again!”
Not only is the voice of our loved one missed, but their wit, wisdom and stories of family history may be lost forever.
As new generations are born and grandparents pass on, our sense of family continuity provides personal identity and a sense of history of who we are and where we come from.
